Cavern Diver

Training focused on overhead diving within the light zone, line handling, buoyancy control, gas discipline, and emergency procedures.

Objective

Prepare students to safely plan and conduct cavern dives within proper limits under instructor supervision.

Prerequisites

Advanced Open Water or equivalent. Minimum 25 logged dives. Good buoyancy control recommended.

Equipment required

Primary light + 2 backups. Primary reel + 1 spool minimum. SMB. Redundant gas source. Streamlined configuration.

Certification limits

Cavern zone only. Maximum 30m penetration or line of sight to exit. Natural light visible at all times. No silt-out zones.
